Whoever said building a lead generating funnel had to be hard... LIED!
Whilst having an amazing service to offer is great, you actually need people to sell it to.
Having a constant stream of leads coming into your business is one of the BEST ways to predict reliable income, and your email list is one of the few marketing platforms you actually own.
I know you understand that leads are what you need, and you've seen people with these funnels, but the thought of piecing it all together feels overwhelming to you.
I get it!
That's why having a funnel is crucial!
A great funnel is simply a journey you take a customer on from being a total stranger that has never heard of you, through to a raving fan that cannot wait to work with you.
Instead of hanging out at networking events, or trying to find clients on street corners, a great funnel can be put to work on automation so that potential clients can come to you, 24/7.
Doesn't that sound marvelous?!
However...
I've worked with HUNDREDS of female entrepreneurs and the challenges are always the same.
So let’s bust some myths about building a lead generating funnel.
Firstly, the biggest myth about a funnel is that it's complicated to make.
This is not true.
There are a few moving parts that need to be fitted together, but when you know what they are, you can create them and get to work on attracting your new tribe to you effortlessly and on automation.
People often ask me the top 5 mistakes I see when female entrepreneurs come to me to help with with their funnel woes.
So here they are...
Firstly, A Tribe Magnet aka a freebie/opt I/lead magnet that really doesn't pack enough of a punch to make people part with their precious email real estate. We are inundated with offers every day on our feeds so the freebie needs to really be something that catches attention AND offers value.
The second biggest mistake is Facebook Ad Copy that is broad and speaks to everyone. This shows a total lack of real insight into someones Unicorn Client. A Facebook Ad that speaks to everyone incidentally speaks to no one.
A low converting landing page is the third mistake as this negatively affects Facebook Ads costs, and ultimately means you aren't getting as many people throughout the metaphorical funnel door as you could.
Penultimately, a weak email nurture sequence is another big error I see. Getting an email address is one thing, but taking that person from stranger to raving fan is a whole different ball game. After you have paid for that precious email, you don't want to end up on their Unsubscribe list.
And lastly, a lack of technical knowledge to put all the parts together properly so that it all flows seamlessly when someone presses GO on the AD.
This ends up wasting money. Often, I see that the pixel is installed on the wrong page or the custom conversion wasn't set up correct, so ultimately the funnel doesn't seem to work and laptops get thrown across the room in a state of funnel frenzy.
